Mar. 17, 2021 – Adding yet another weekly award to his resume after throwing the first nine-inning no-hitter in program history on Mar. 14 in a 4-0 win against Spalding University, North Central College pitcher Ryan Behling has added another first in program history, named the Division III Pitcher of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
 
Behling's no-hitter was the fourth overall in program history, but the first to go all nine innings, as the junior allowed just two walks and two hit by pitches and only one of the 27 outs was recorded out of the infield, an eighth-inning flyout to center field.  It was just his second collegiate start while only having 7 2/3 total innings under his belt entering the game.
 
Behling was also awarded College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Pitcher of the Week, and earned a spot on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week. 
 
The sixth-ranked Cardinals (5-1, 1-0 CCIW) return to action on Saturday, Mar. 20 at Augustana College with game one of the doubleheader scheduled for 1 p.m. at Swanson Stadium.
