Apr. 13, 2021 - For the second straight week, the North Central College women's track and field team has received the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Field Athlete of the Week award, as high jumper Taiah Gallisath was recognized as this week's honoree on Tuesday.

Gallisath placed first in the high jump at the Benedictine University Invitational on Friday, matching an outdoor personal best with a clearance of five feet, five inches. The effort currently ranks first among all high jumpers in the CCIW and eighth nationally among NCAA Division III competitors this season.

Gallisath's accolades follow those of teammate Daniele Stubner, who won last week's awards on the strength of first-place finishes in the hammer throw and javelin throw at North Central's First Chance Invitational Apr. 2.

The Cardinals are set to compete in the Wheaton College Invitational on Saturday. Competition at McCully Stadium is scheduled to begin at 3:45 p.m.
