Apr. 19, 2021 – For the first time this season a North Central College women's lacrosse player was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Player of the Week, as Annabelle Steiner earned the offensive nod, announced by the conference on Monday.

Steiner scored 10 goals last week for the 1-1 Cardinals, finishing with two goals, two ground ball and four caused turnover against Carroll University on Apr. 14, before following up with eight goals, four ground balls, and two draw controls, while scoring the game-winning goal in the 11-10 win over CCIW rival Augustana College on Apr. 16.

Steiner currently leads the team in goals with 14, while ranking second on the team with 12 draw controls.

The Cardinals (2-3, 1-1 CCIW) continue conference play on Monday, Apr. 19, hosting Carthage College in a game rescheduled from Mar. 31 at 7 p.m. at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.
