April 28, 2021 - Scoring 12 goals in the first half against Augustana College, helped improve their record to 10-1 overall and 4-1in conference play. The win also marks the program's first win against Augustana College in program history.
The Cardinals opened up the game scoring the first three goals to help build their lead in the contest. Scott Allgood was able to find the back of the net early on as he scored both the first and second goal of the game. Tom Eberhardt would score the third goal of the game connecting with Scott Allgood to widen the lead. Jack Moran would add a goal later on in the first period, this time to make the score 4-2 in favor of the Cardinals.Â
North Central would continue their scoring ways in the second period as Eberhardt would score three more times. Eberhardt would finish with a game high 5 goals on the night. Patrick Fransen would also score twice in the period while the Cardinals had a man advantage over the Vikings.Â
Scoring would go cold in the second half as a total of 3 goals were scored. Steven Faux would add the lone goal for the Cardinals in the second half. Faux would also pick up three ground balls on the night. Jake Allgood was fantastic all game picking up another win in goal.Â
The Cardinals will host Elmhurst University (10-4, 3-2) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.Â
