Sept 10, 2021 — The North Central College men's cross country team showcased its freshmen squad on Friday, turning in a perfect score at the Forester Invitational in North Chicago, Ill.
The Cardinals swept the top five places through the 8-kilometer course earning a perfect score of 15 points. Luke Hoffmann came away with the individual win in a time of 27 minutes and 12.6 seconds followed by Nathan Halbrader in a time of 27 minutes 23.6 seconds.
Jacob Everix (27:36.8), Michael Molloy (27:44.6), and Lucas Hoffman (27:45.4) finished third, fourth, and fifth, respectively, to complete North Central's top-five.
The Cardinals saw seven student athletes in the top-eight leaving little room for Lake Forest College and Beloit College. The Foresters finished second overall with 48 points while the Buccaneers posted 78 points to finish third.
North Central returns to action on Sept. 18 competing at the familiar course, St. James Farm in Warrenville, Ill. for the Gil Dodds Invitational hosted by Wheaton College.
