Dubuque, IA. (Sept. 11, 2021) - Continuing their hot start to the 2021 season, the North Central College men's soccer team recorded an overtime goal to secure a 1-0 victory over the University of Dubuque Spartans. 

The match remained scoreless until the 103rd minute where Herman Hesby would finish off a cross from Jack Fairwood to beat the Spartans 1-0. The defense was dominant once again, shutting down the Spartan offense who has averaged two goals in their last three games. 

Sid Marquardt tallied three saves and extended his record to 4-0-0 and earned his third shutout of the season. Christoffer Rastock of the Spartans tallied four saves and he fell to 2-1-1 on the season. 

The Cardinals (4-0-0) will remain in Iowa tomorrow as they take on the Knights of Wartburg College with a game time set for 1:00 pm inside Salzwedel Field. To watch the game or follow through live stats please visit our website.
