Aurora, Ill. September 11th, 2021 - After giving up an early goal to the Aurora University Spartans, the North Central College women's soccer team clawed back to force OT and stole a win on the road, beating the Spartans, 2-1 

Throughout the first half of the game the soccer team's offense had trouble finding any offensive rhythm to get themselves going. Being down 1-0 to start the second half Kaitlyn Cannon received a pass from Lauren Fischer to knot the game up at one. 

Giving up a goal in the 8th minute of the game, Jordan Boyd settled down in goal facing six shots with four of them being on goal and making three saves. Boyd made a huge save in the second half to preserve the 1-1 tie.

The game would head to overtime and no other than Cannon would sneak a shot past Aurora's goalie to end the game in double OT to give the Cardinals their first win of the season. 

The Cardinals (1-2-1) are back in action tomorrow, hosting Benedictine University on Senior Day at 12 pm Central Time.
