Memphis, Tenn. (Sept. 19, 2021) - Finishing up their fifth consecutive game on the road, the North Central College men's soccer team defeated the Warriors of Hendrix College today inside Mason Field.

The Cardinals took advantage early, scoring in the 14th minute as Aidan Westerberg sent one past the Warriors defense to Jaziel Enriquez who would slip one past the goalkeeper to go up 1-0. Five Minutes later, Enriquez would pass to Dane Richardson who sent a strike to the top right corner to put the Cardinals up 2-0.

In the second half, the Cardinals would generate 13 shots but could not find the back of the net as Warriors goalkeeper would make some great saves to shut down the scoring attempts.

The defense locked down the Warriors offense all game, only allowing six shots. Goalkeeper Oliwier Holowinski tallied four saves and improved his record to 2-0-0 while earning his first shutout of the season. Warriors goalkeeper Manu Murga tallied ten saves as he fell to 0-2-1 on the season.

The Cardinals (8-0-0) are back inside Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on Tuesday as they host Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. The match is set to start at 7:30 pm. Click HERE for live coverage of Tuesday's game.
