Sept. 26, 2021 - The North Central College men's soccer team won their tenth consecutive game as they took down the Aurora University Spartans 2-0 on a beautiful Sunday night inside Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.

The Cardinals offense got started early as Dane Richardson sent a cross from the corner which found the head of Johnny Kraemer to take a 1-0 lead. In the 37th minute the Cardinals would strike again. Jesus Meza would finish off a cross from Jack Fairwood to extend the Cardinal lead to two.

The defense led by Kraemer, Davis Nelson and William Hall shutdown the Spartan offense, only allowing four shots on goal and earning themselves their eighth shutout of the season. Cardinal goalkeeper Sid Marquardt tallied four saves and improved his record to 7-0-1 on the season. Spartans goalkeeper Antonio Herrera tallied 10 saves as he fell to 1-2-1 on the season.

Tonight's victory for the Cardinals was their 10th consecutive win and head coach Enzo Fuschino's 150th career win as a collegiate head coach. Fuschino's career record now stands at 150-83-26.

The Cardinals (10-0-1) are back in action on Wednesday night as they host Millikin University in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) matchup. The game is set to start at 7:30 pm inside Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium. Click HERE for live coverage on Wednesday's game.
