Jan 11, 2022 -  For the second time in his career, Cody Baldridge of the North Central College men's wrestling team has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's (CCIW) Wrestler of the Week following the Cardinals' third-place finish at the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Duals this past weekend. 

Baldridge beat the No. 1 ranked wrestler in the 197-pound division, Isaac Lahr of UW-Lacrosse via a 6-4 decision in the Cardinals' second match of the day. In their first match against No. 10 Johnson & Wales University, Baldridge won by a 20-5 tech fall over Tommy Wrzesien. To close out the day, he earned a 10-2 major decision over Josh Harkless of No. 18 RIT to post a perfect 3-0 record at the event.

Baldridge, a native of Morris, Ill. has posted a 19-3 record on the season while winning all seven of his dual matches. He is the reigning NWCA National Champion and is a two-time NWCA All-American while showcasing an 81-17 career record to this point.

North Central hosts Millikin University on Friday night inside Gregory Arena, starting at 7:30 PM. The Cardinals have won six in a row over the Big Blue. Only pre-approved home spectators will be allowed to attend. To view the full spectator policy, click HERE.
