NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Oct. 21, 2022) - Using a season-high 15 service aces, the North Central College women's volleyball team cruised past Beloit College on Friday night inside Gregory Arena for their seventh sweep of the season.

A kill from Abbi Barickman and two aces from Anna Gawron opened the first set for the Cardinals with a 3-0 advantage. After a kill from Aidan Brown, Taylor O'Malley notched three aces over the 5-0 run from the Cardinals. Sarah Elischer's kill extended North Central's lead to 10, 16-6. Emma Happ closed out set one with a kill to take a 25-14 win.

The Cardinals used a 7-0 run beginning and ending with kills from Kendra Battle to push their lead to five, 8-3. The Buccaneers fought back to come within one but a kill from Danni Moser and an ace from Aleesa Andresen put a stop to the Beloit rally. A kill from Katie Little began a 5-0 run as the Cardinals closed out the second set with a Moser kill, 25-17.

Another ace from Andresen gave North Central a 6-1 edge early in set three. Battle's second kill of the set sparked a 13-2 run from the Cardinals on their way to a 25-8 victory in set three, their largest set win of the season.

The balanced offensive attack found nine Cardinals register kills with Little leading the way at 10. Gawron dished out 38 assists over the three sets while Emily Stallmann posted 19 digs. Stallmann and O'Malley each recorded four aces with Gawron and Andresen at three.

North Central competes in their final non-conference road match of the season by taking on the University of Chicago at 1 p.m.m inside Ratner Athletics Center.
