Jan. 31, 2022 - The North Central College men's volleyball program has claimed the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season, with
Jared Moser earning this week's award. The CCIW announced this week's selections on Monday.
Moser played key roles in the team's victories against Concordia University Chicago (3-0) and No. 5 Benedictine University (3-1) last week.
The outside hitter accumulated 27 kills and a .426 hitting percentage in the two matches. Moser totaled 12 kills and a .474 hitting percentage against the Cougars while adding 15 kills and hit .393 against the fifth-ranked Eagles. Moser picked up three service aces last week and even showed up defensively with 13 digs, second only to teammate Parker Nelson with 19.
This marks Moser's second time receiving the CCIW Offensive Player of the Week award in his career.
The Cardinals head to River Forest, Ill. on Wednesday for their match against the No. 2 ranked Dominican University at the Igini Sports Forum. The match is set for 7 p.m.
