Lindsey Novak and
Alexandra Draves have been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week, marking the Cardinals' fifth straight week making the conference's weekly honor roll.
Novak earned Track Athlete of the Week honors for the second time in three weeks after winning the 200- and 400-meter dashes in the Pat Heenan Invitational at Al B. Carius Track Saturday. Novak won the 200-meter dash in a lifetime-best time of 25.76 seconds, improving to No. 4 in the Cardinals' history indoors, and clocked a time of 58.68 seconds to win the 400. Novak ranks first in the CCIW and 22nd nationally among NCAA Division III competitors in both events.
Draves won the 20-pound weight throw Saturday, achieving a new personal best and North Central indoor varsity record with a mark of 17.80 meters (58 feet, 4.75 inches). The 2020 indoor All-American currently ranks first in the CCIW and fifth nationally in the event.
The Cardinals host the F. Lee Slick Invitational Friday, with competition set to begin at 11:30 a.m.
