DELAWARE. Ohio (Mar. 5, 2022) - Taking a trip to Delaware, Ohio to take on the 19th ranked Ohio Wesleyan University Battling Bishops, the North Central College men's lacrosse team fell in an 11-10 nail biter inside Selby Stadium this afternoon. 

The Cardinals (1-1, 0-0 CCIW) jumped out to an early lead as Tom Eberhardt scored his ninth goal of the season off a feed from Scotty Allgood. The game would remain notched at two until the Cardinals scored three unanswered goals to give them a 5-2 lead. The Bishops would score five consecutive goals to take a 7-5 lead before Riley Bachinski cut the lead to one. The Cardinals comeback was alive as Jack Moran knotted the game up at ten with four minutes remaining but the Bishops would score with just under a minute remaining. 

Eberhardt led the team with three goals while Bachinski and Joey D'Cuhna each had two goals. Moran, Allgood and Gavin Rieger each had one assist. Dylan Andersen went 13 of 22 from the face-off circle, Trenton Herubin had two caused turnovers and three ground balls. Jake Allgood tallied 16 saves as he fell to 1-1 on the season. 

The Cardinals are back in action on Wednesday as they host Albion College in their home opener at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium at 5:00 pm.
