To score the game's first runs, Trey Roach doubled allowing Beverly and Wojcik to score and put North Central ahead 2-0.
In the top of the third, the Cardinals' offense came alive as Rob Marinec and Roach each hit home runs as North Central scored six runs on seven hits in the inning to take an 8-0 lead. The Vikings responded with two runs in the bottom half of the third and added another in the fifth inning.
Neither team pushed a run across until the ninth inning as Michael Davis doubled to left center to plate Wojcik. With two outs, Luke Lehnen hit a two-run single allowing Brent Swenson and Davis to score.
