NCAA DIII Regional Rankings

April 28, 2022 - The North Central College women's tennis team enters the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Automatic Qualifier Tournament ranked No. 4 in the NCAA Region VI Rankings, the highest of any CCIW team.

The Cardinals No.1 doubles team featuring Alaina Kanthaphixay and Hannah Hougland comes in at No. 4 in the region while Kaeli Smashey, North Central's No. 1 singles player is ranked sixth in Region VI. They enter the tournament with a 19-5 record and are winners of their last 19 CCIW matches.

The University of Chicago is ranked first in the region with Washington University of St. Louis in second and Hope College ranked third. Behind the Cardinals are two CCIW foes in Wheaton College (No. 5) and Millikin University (No.6). 

North Central faces Augustana at 10 AM on Friday in Lisle, Ill. at the Benet Academy Tennis Courts. The Cardinals beat the Vikings 9-0 in their matchup this fall.
