NVA/AVCA Rankings - Week 12

Apr. 6, 2022 - The North Central College men's volleyball program fell to No. 8 in the National Volleyball Association / American Volleyball Coaches Association (NVA/AVCA) Division III National Rankings during Week 12. The NVA/AVCA released its rankings on Tuesday.

The Cardinals split last week's competitions dropping their match against the Loras College Duhawks (21-6) on Wednesday 1-3 before rallying on Senior Day for a 3-0 win over the Millikin University Big Blue.

The Cardinals' regular-season record stands at 18-3 while being 9-3 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW), tying with Loras for CCIW play. The conference's tiebreaker rule of head-to-head competition set differentials between tied teams, deemed North Central the No. 2 seed while Loras took the No. 3 seed. Carthage College is first and North Park University is fourth.

Springfield, Dominican, and Carthage reclaimed their top-three spots in this week's rankings while Stevens and Rutgers-Newark completed the top five. SUNY New Paltz and Southern Virginia jumped ahead of North Central in sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively. Vassar ranked ninth and Wentworth ranked 10th. Rounding out the top-15 are Juniata, Stevenson, Messiah, Marymount, and St. John Fisher.

North Central hosts the Loras Duhawks Wednesday, Apr. 6 for a CCIW Tournament semifinal match inside Gregory Arena. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
