ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Teams
MAY 31, 2022 - After earning four D3baseball.com All-Region selections this morning,
Dom Listi,
Luke Lamm, and
Jason Shanner of the North Central College baseball team were named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings DIII All-Region 8 teams, the organization released Tuesday afternoon.
Listi was named to the ABCA/Rawlings first team with Lamm earning second team accolades and Shanner selected to the third team.
Listi, a first team all-conference selection, hit .374 with 73 runs, 71 hits, 43 RBIs, 40 walks, and a .500 on-base percentage. He finished the season by reaching base in 38 straight games. His 73 runs are fifth among all Division III players this season and most all-time for a North Central baseball player in a single season. Listi set a new program record with 16 career doubles and ranks seventh in school history with 128 runs scored.
On the mound, Lamm posted an 8-4 record with a 3.34 earned run average over his 67.1 innings pitched. He ranked fourth on the team with 67 strikeouts this season in his 12 starts. The senior held opposing batters to a .227 batting average on the year. Lamm is tied with teammate Charlie Klemm for most career wins in a Cardinals uniform with 25. He is also fourth with 207 career strikeouts and a 3.01 earned run average.
Making six starts and 17 appearances out of the bullpen as the Cardinals' main closer, Shanner led the team with a 3.02 earned run average on his way to a 5-0 record. He also recorded six saves, the fifth-most in North Central history. In his career, Shanner ranks third in wins with 19 and in strikeouts with 223.
North Central concluded the 2022 season with a 35-14 record, tied for the second-most wins in school history. They captured their seventh-straight CCIW Regular Season Title while setting four new program records for hits (558), runs scored (426), RBIs (386), and strikeouts thrown (430).
