2021-22 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

July 27, 2022 - Earning their fifth consecutive American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, the North Central College baseball team was awarded for its hard work in the classroom on Wednesday. The Cardinals are the only NCAA Division III institution to win both the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award and a conference title in each of the past five seasons.

The ABCA has been awarding the Team Academic Excellence Award for the last seven seasons, given to programs coached by ABCA members that posted a GPA over 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the entire 2021-22 academic year. Nearly 700 member college and high school programs from across the country have been awarded the 2021-22 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

Over 420 collegiate programs were honored, including seven CCIW institutions. Joining North Central from the conference is Carroll University, Elmhurst University, Illinois Wesleyan University, Millikin University, North Park University, and Wheaton College.
