AFCA Week 10 Top 25 Poll

Nov. 6, 2023 - As it has all season, North Central College continues to hold No. 1 rankings in NCAA Division III Top 25 polls conducted by D3football.com and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). The Cardinals have garnered all but one first-place vote across the two polls once again this week.

North Central (9-0, 8-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) won its 24th consecutive game Saturday, defeating Illinois Wesleyan University, 83-26, on Senior Day at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium. North Central currently owns a 35-game winning streak in regular-season games and a 32-game winning streak in CCIW play. 

The Cardinals received  all 25 first-place votes in the D3football.com Poll to claim the No. 1 spot, followed by the University of Mount Union (Ohio). North Central defeated the Purple Raiders, 28-21, in the 2022 national championship game at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland.

Wartburg College (Iowa) is ranked No. 3 this week, followed by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Trinity University (Texas), Johns Hopkins University (Maryland), Linfield College (Oregon), Randolph-Macon College (Virginia) and Susquehanna University (Pennsylvania).

The Cardinals received 48 of 49 first-place votes in the AFCA Poll. Mount Union is ranked second, followed by Wartburg, Linfield, Trinity, Wisconsin-Whitewater, Wisconisn-La Crosse, Johns Hopkins, Randolph-Macon and Aurora University.
