Nov 28, 2023 - The North Central College men's wrestling team earned a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) student-athlete of the week honor as Payton Geigner is this week's winner. 

Geinger won the award after a win over the No.12 wrestler, Ryan Riser, in the 184-weight class. He won this match in a 12-3 major decision. Winning this match also helped the Cardinals to a 24-11 win over the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater last Friday. 

Geinger on the season holds a 9-3 record overall, with five of those victories coming in the form of major decisions. He also holds an undefeated record against CCIW opponents this season. 

The Cardinals will host the annual North Central College Invite this Saturday on December 9 inside Resident Hall/Recreation Center.
