NAPERVILLE, (Feb. 24, 2023) - Opening their spring slate of matches, the North Central College women's tennis team ran past Wisconsin Lutheran College 9-0 on Friday night inside Naperville Tennis Club.

Abigail Penados and Natalie Bassett teamed up at No. 1 singles and earned an 8-0 victory while Nina Patience and Kensington Payne took an 8-1 victory at No. 2. To complete the doubles sweep, Anastasia Bozovic and Kayla McSweeney took down the Warriors No. 3 doubles team 8-0.

In singles play, Penados won 6-2, 6-1 at No.1 with Bassett claiming a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 2. Payne, Patience and McSweeney each earned 6-1, 6-1 victories at No. 3-5, respectively. To finish off the 9-0 win for North Central, Liveta Ezerskis won at No. 6, 6-3, 6-1.

The now 14-0 Cardinals are back in action next Friday as they welcome Hope College to Naperville Tennis Club. The match is set to begin at 12:45 p.m.
