For the third straight week, junior setter Tyler Donovan was selected as the CCIW Setter of the Week while sophomore outside hitter Austin Scott was awarded as the CCIW Hitter of the Week for the first time in his career.

The Cardinals took down then-No. 4 Carthage for the first time in five years on Saturday thanks to exceptional efforts from Scott and Donovan. Scott led the team with a career-high of 19 kills while recording two block assists and four digs. Donovan led the team with 41 assists while tallying one serving ace, two kills, two block assists, and eight digs. Donovan leads the nation in assists per set (10.39) for Division III.

Donovan and Jared Moser were also selected to the FrogJump Team of the Week. Moser tallied 16 kills, fourth best in school history for a three-set match, with a .419 hitting percentage. Moser also had three blocks, one ace, and nine digs.

North Central's three-set sweep over the Firebirds boosted their position in the national standings moving up from No. 10 to No. 7 in the AVCA Week 10 rankings. Carthage (12-4) dropped from fourth to sixth in national rankings after picking up their first loss in CCIW play.

Stevens (22-2), Vassar (15-1) and Junaita (17-2) held their top three spots in the rankings while Springfield (18-2) and Messiah moved up to fourth and fifth, respectively. St. John Fisher (17-5) dropped to eighth while NYU (11-5) and Southern Virginia (11-2) made up the top 10. SUNY New Paltz (17-7), Marymount (15-4), Nazareth (16-5), Wentworth (12-6) and Rutgers-Newark (7-5) round out the nation's top-15.
