2023 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region Teams

Ryan Behling and
Rob Marinec were chosen to the Region 8 Third Team for their performance in 2023.
Behling, a two-time All-Region pitcher, led the Cardinals in wins (6), innings pitched (75.2), and strikeouts (67) while posting a 2.74 ERA on the mound. He held opponents to a .274 batting average in his 13 appearances and 12 starts. Behling finishes his career with 17 wins, the eighth most in program history while ranking fifth in strikeouts (214), ERA (3.13), and games started (34). His three career shutouts are tied for the most in school history.
Marinec is now a five-time All-Region honoree and a four-time ABCA All-Region selection. He played in 27 games this season despite an injury. Marinec hit .424 with 30 runs, 29 RBIs, 20 walks, 13 doubles, five home runs, and two triples in 99 at-bats. Among active DIII players, he is top five in career RBIs (240), home runs (39), total bases (475), and walks (120). In North Central history, Marinec set new program career records for RBIs, hits, runs scored, total bases, doubles (60), and sacrifice flies (16). He ranks in the top five in slugging percentage (.656), at-bats (724), triples (15), home runs (38), and walks. His 240 career RBIs rank seventh all-time in DIII history.
North Central finished the season 27-14, the Cardinals' ninth straight season with 25 or more wins.
