Babinec, a master's student in higher education leadership, placed second in the 60-meter hurdles, seventh in the 200-meter dash and 12th in the 60-meter dash at the CCIW Indoor Championship before placing 10th in the 60-meter hurdles at the Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. A four-time All-American, Babinec won the Cardinals' 17th individual national title at the 2022 Division III Indoor Championship, placing first in the 60-meter hurdles. Babinec holds North Central's indoor record in the 55-meter hurdles (7.99) and ran on the Cardinals' record-setting 4-by-100-meter relay team (46.22) outdoors this season.
Babinec's award is the 51st Academic All-America selection North Central has received from CSC, six of which have been earned by the women's track and field program.
