 North Central College continues to own the No. 1 spot in both NCAA Division III Top 25 football polls, as the Cardinals remain atop the D3football.com and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25 Polls.

The Cardinals (3-0, 2-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) traveled to face conference rival Elmhurst University Saturday and recorded a 24th consecutive victory over the Bluejays, 59-6. North Central extended its winning streak in regular-season games to 29 and its winning streak in CCIW games to 26. The Cardinals received 24 of 25 first-place votes in the D3football.com Poll to claim the No. 1 spot, followed by the University of Mount Union (Ohio). North Central defeated the Purple Raiders, 28-21, in the 2022 national championship game at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland.

Wartburg College (Iowa) is ranked No. 3 this week, followed by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Trinity University (Texas), the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Saint John's University (Minnesota), Linfield College (Oregon), Johns Hopkins University (Maryland) and Wheaton College.

The Cardinals received 48 of 49 first-place votes in the AFCA Poll. Mount Union is ranked second, followed by Wisconsin-Whitewater, Wartburg, Wisconsin-River Falls, Linfield, Trinity University, Wheaton, Saint John's and Johns Hopkins.
