Jan 18, 2024 - The North Central College Cardinals men's wrestling team continued their win streak in the Conference College of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) and made it 47 straight wins as they take down Millikin University.
No. 1 Christian Guzman took on No. 2 Zac Blasioli in a tightly contested match as it went to a 4-1 decision for Guzman for the 125 match. He maintains an undefeated streak in duals.
No. 1 Robert Precin took down No. 20 Coby Haney in a 16-3 major decision in the 133 match. Precin remains undefeated in all of his matches this season.
No. 9 Bradley Rosen for the 141 match took down Trey Pearcy with a 19-3 technical fall in four minutes and five seconds of action.
Caleb Magruder defeated Chase Mirelez in the 149 match with a 12-4 major decision.
No. 6 in 165 Alex Villar took on Chance Cole in a much more drawn-out match. VIllar came out on top in a 17-4 major decision.
No 16 Cole Cervantes in 174 took down Benicio Martinez in a powerful and lightning quick match, with a pin in 1:35.
Elijah Brockie and Mason Clem for the 197 match was one of much tactical decisions with Brockie coming out on top with a 13-7 decision.
Robby Bates ended off the dual with the heavy weight match against Leno Campbell. Bates won with a 7-0 decision.
The North Central College Cardinals take on MSOE in their next matchup as they compete in the CCIW Duals hosted by Wheaton College at 12:30 PM.
