Jan 21, 2024 - The North Central College Cardinals men's wrestling team faced off against the Milwaukee School of Engineering in the Conference College of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Duals hosted by Wheaton College. The Cardinals took down Raiders 45-5 as they won nine of the ten matches and remained the only undefeated team in the conference.
No. 1 ranked Christian Guzman started the dual with a 17-1 technical fall in three minutes flat for the 125-weight match.
No. 1 ranked Robert Precin for the 133 weight- match shut his opponent out with a 15-0 technical fall in 3:34.
No. 9 Bradley Rosen took down Max Sanderfoot for the 141-weight match in an 18-2 technical fall in 5:39 of action.
Caleb Magruder in the 149-weight match defeated Conner Nagela in a 15-0 technical fall in 3:52.
The 165-match featured No.6 Alex Villar taking care of the competition very quickly with a pin in 1:26.
Payton Geigner for the 174-match very quickly took down Colin Duren in with a pin in an astonishing 30 seconds.
For the 184-weight match Cole Cervantes won in a 16-9 decision.
In the 197 match Elijah Brockie defeated Jake Schmitt in an 11-3 major decision.
No.6 Robby Bates in the heavy weight match won with a pin in 4:38 over Noah Nieberle.
The North Central College Cardinals look to carry the momentum they have built up this season as they return to Wheaton to compete in the Pete Wilson Invitational Jan 26 and 27.
