Elle Sutter has been selected for the league's weekly honor for her performance in the Cardinals' two wins this week.
North Central beat North Park University, 75-66 on Wednesday before taking down Wheaton College, 85-66 on Saturday. This marked the first time since 2009 that the Cardinals defeated the Thunder. Sutter scored a season-high 25 points on Saturday with seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals. On the week, Sutter averaged 23.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 3.0 steals per contest. She led the CCIW this week in points and posted top-five marks in steals and blocks while ranking in the top 10 in rebounds and assists.
On the year, Sutter averages 14.0 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game. She has scored double figures in each of her last six games.
Sutter is the 14th Cardinal in program history to earn the CCIW Player of the Week and the first since Mitrese Smith in 2022.
The Cardinals look to complete the season sweep over Carthage on Wednesday night. North Central defeated Carthage, 53-46 in the first matchup of the season. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside Tarble Arena.
