Nov. 19, 2024 – The North Central College men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week Awards in swimming for the first time in program history.

Freshman Abigael Sheldon took home the women's award after finishing second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:25.69) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.02) in a double dual against Beloit and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. She also contributed to the women's second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a combined time of 2:08.55.

On the men's side, Mihir Chandra represented the Cardinals for the second time this season after winning both the 50-yard freestyle (21.75) and 100-yard freestyle (1:16.02) Chandra also contributed to the team taking home a win in the 200-yard medley relay with a season-best time of 1:44.09.
