2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams
Nov. 19, 2024 – The North Central College women's soccer team earned six selections to the NCAA Division III College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.
Nominees are selected by CSC members on the basis of their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District honorees are listed with an asterisk if placed on the CSC Academic All-American ballot. North Central nominees include
Elle Sutter,
Sarah Andrey, and
Kassandra Salviola and winners will be announced on December 11th.
Sutter a graduate student marketing and management major, obtained her third Academic All-District honor after earning her second straight CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year Award and fourth consecutive First-Team All-CCIW selection. She earned this honor after establishing a new program record for career assists (29) and single-season points (68). Sutter was also honored with five of the ten CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week Awards while obtaining a CCIW-leading twenty-seven goals, fourteen assists, and sixty-eight points throughout the year.
A graduate student sociology and criminology major, Andrey was honored with her third All-District honor tallying a team second-best in goals (12), third-best in assists (8), and second-best in points (32). She was also honored with her third All-CCIW First-Team selection.
Madison DeVriendt a sophomore biology major, obtained her first All-District selection after anchoring the midfield with a team fourth-best in goals (8), a second-best in assists (9), and third-best in points (25). She was also nominated to her first All-CCIW First-Team field.
A junior sociology major, Salviola snagged her second consecutive Academic All-District honor after receiving her second consecutive CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year Award. She also earned two weekly CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete Awards while earning an All-CCIW First-Team selection. Throughout the year she tallied the team's third-best in goals (9), sixth-best in assists (5), and fifth-best in points (23).
Yazmin Martinez a junior mechanical engineering major, earned her first Academic All-District selection after snagging one goal, five assists, and seven points throughout the year. This earned her second All-CCIW Second-Team selection.
A senior health science major,
Madelyn Camaioni was honored with her third consecutive Academic All-District selection after tallying one goal, four assists, and six points throughout the season.
The Cardinals ended the 2024 season with a 16-5-1 record while earning their second consecutive CCIW Tournament Title and second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
