Dec. 2, 2024 - For the first time in her young career, North Central College women's basketball forward
Jocelyn Trotter earned the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Player of the Week award for her performance in the pair of Cardinal victories this past week.
Trotter averaged 19.0 points per game (second most in the CCIW this week) and 12.5 rebounds per contest, which led the league over the past seven days. She also ranked in the top 10 in field goal percentage (58.6%), assists (8) and blocks (2). The sophomore scored a season-high 22 points on Tuesday against Benedictine University before grabbing a season-best 14 rebounds on Saturday against Concordia University Wisconsin.
On the year, Trotter leads the CCIW in rebounding with 9.8 per game, is second in field goal percentage (53.4%) and ninth in scoring (14.7). As a team, North Central leads the CCIW with 79.3 points per game and 18.5 assists per contest.
Trotter becomes the 15th Cardinal to earn a CCIW weekly honor. North Central prepares for its third straight home game Wednesday, hosting the University of Chicago. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. inside Gregory Arena.
