ORLANDO, Fla. (Mar. 13, 2024) - Wrapping up their spring break trip to Orlando, Fla., the North Central College men's tennis team swept doubles play on their way to an 8-1 win over the Trinity College (Conn.) Bantams on Wednesday at Sylvan Lake.

Ramon Vilarroig Martinez and Matthew Sengphommachanh paired up to earn an 8-4 victory at No. 1 doubles with Daniel Estanislao and Rafael Lessa winning 8-5 in the No. 2 spot. Finishing off the doubles sweep was Wyatt Crowell and Henry Ros at No. 3 with an 8-6 win.

After Sengphommachanh  picked up a 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles, Vilarroig Martinez battled to a 7-5, 5-7, 10-2 win at No. 1 to clinch the victory for North Central. Crowell, Lessa and Estanislao each won in straight sets to secure the 8-1 win.

The Cardinals take a week off before facing Loras College on Saturday, Mar. 23 inside Naperville Tennis Club. The match is set to begin at 4:45 p.m.
