2023-24 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

Megan McClure of the North Central College women's basketball team earned their spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for their combined successes in the classroom and on the court.
To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 or higher grade point average. Athletically, nominees must compete in 90 percent of games or start in at least 66 percent of games played.
This marks McClure's second straight Academic All-District selection. She scored 11.9 points per game, averaging 5.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. McClure shot 42.3% from the field and started all 26 games for the Cardinals.
Martinucci played in every game, starting 24 for North Central while anchoring the defense as she led the team in steals with 63. Martinucci also led the team with 2.9 assists per game. In total, she scored 2.7 points per game with 3.6 rebounds per contest.
McClure and Martinucci are the fifth and sixth Cardinals in program history to earn an Academic All-District accolade. Tess Godhardt (2015) won the first award with Natalie Stavropoulos, Mitrese Smith, and Sydney Erwin joining McClure last season.
A select number of Academic All-District honorees will advance to the CSC Academic All-American ballot. The 2024 CSC Academic All-America Teams will be announced Tuesday, Apr. 16 at 11 a.m.
