2024 All-CCIW Women's Lacrosse Teams
Apr. 30, 2024 - North Central College women's lacrosse student-athlete Abby MacKenzie has been recognized by the head coaches of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) with a selection to the 2024 All-CCIW First Team.
MacKenzie is a first-time All-Conference honoree, leading the Cardinals this season in goals scored (46), ground balls (40) and draw controls (86) while ranking third in caused turnovers (17). MacKenzie leads the CCIW in draw controls while ranking fifth in scoring and ninth in ground balls.
A three-year starter for the Cardinals, MacKenzie currently sits fifth in the program's history in draw controls (147) and is tied for ninth in goals scored (98).
The CCIW also announced the nine winners of its RESPECT Award for the season. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture. North Central's RESPECT Award honoree is junior midfielder Madison Smith.
The Cardinals finished the 2024 campaign with a record of 7-7, placing fifth in the CCIW with an in-conference mark of 2-4.
