Apr. 6, 2024 - Earning their second College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin sweep of the season, the North Central College men's tennis team took care of business against the Carroll University Pioneers with a 9-0 sweep on Saturday.

Daniel Estanislao and Rafael Lessa picked up the first win of the day at No. 3, with an 8-2 win. Wyatt Crowell and Henry Ros also won 8-2 at No. 2 before Matthew Sengphommachanh and Ramon Vilarroig Martinez fought to an 8-7 (7-3) win at the No. 1 position.

Villaroig Martinez, Lessa, and Esanislao each won in straight sets in singles play. Sengphommachanh battled to a 6-7, 6-4, 10-6 comeback win at No. 2. Justin Penados also went the distance with a 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 win in the No. 3 fixture. Completing the sweep, Crowell won 4-6, 6-3, 10-3 to claim a 9-0 victory for North Central.

The Cardinals host Augustana College tomorrow at the Benet Academy Tennis Courts for another CCIW match.
