2024 CSC Academic All-District Baseball Teams
Jun 4, 2024 - Three North Central College baseball players earned their spot on the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams for their combined performance in the classroom and on the diamond.

AJ Kutcher and
Luke Lehnen are the Cardinal honorees this season.
To qualify, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50. In baseball, position players must also have participated in at least 90 percent of their team's games or started at least 66 percent, while pitchers must have at least 17 appearances or 25 innings pitched.
Lehnen, now a two-time CSC Academic All-District selection, hit .351 with 60 hits, 35 runs, 22 RBI, 17 walks, 12 stolen bases, five doubles, two triples and a home run at the plate. On the mound, he ranked 19th in the country with six saves. He threw 11.1 innings with 17 strikeouts and a 2.38 earned run average. On Apr. 27, Lehnen hit for the cycle in North Central's comeback 12-10 win over Carthage College. He also earned CSC Academic All-District and All-American honors with football this past fall.
Kutcher, also a two-time Academic All-District pitcher, led the Cardinals with 44 strikeouts on the year. He threw 56.2 innings with 11 starts, a 2-6 record and a 6.99 ERA while holding opposing hitters to a .274 batting average. Against No. 24 Marietta College, Kutcher threw seven scoreless innings in the Cardinals 1-0 win
Bollman, a first-time honoree, made 10 starts on the mound for the Cardinals. He recorded 32 strikeouts over 44.1 innings pitched with a 1-3 record. In his final start of the season, Bollman held Millikin University scoreless in his start, allowing just five hits and recording a strikeout.
The Cardinals now have 15 CSC Academic All-District awards with Kutcher and Lehnen becoming just the second and third players to earn the award on multiple occasions. Lehnen advances to the Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced on July 2 at 11 a.m.
