ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

July 24, 2024 - For the seventh year in a row, the North Central College baseball team was awarded for their academic success by receiving the American Baseball Coaches Association's (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence award.

Over 800 teams from every level of college and high school baseball were honored with this year's award, which highlights programs coached by ABCA members that posted a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the cumulative 2023-24 academic year.

North Central is one 181 NCAA Division III teams to claim the accolade and one of six College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) teams to earn the honor.
 
The Cardinals finished with a final record of 18-23 overall and a 11-9 record within the CCIW. Four baseball players earned College Sports Communicators Academic All District Honors, while 13 Cardinals were selected to the Academic All-CCIW Team.

The 2025 Cardinal baseball season is set to begin late-February.
