ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (Sept. 13, 2024) - The three-time defending USA Triathlon NCAA Division III Individual National Champion Hailey Poe of the North Central College women's triathlon team has been named the winner of THE ALEXANDER Award by USA Triathlon in its inaugural launch. The award was presented to Poe Thursday night at the USA Triathlon Foundation Gala presented by TicketSocket at the historic Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.

THE ALEXANDER, funded by the TriDave Legacy Trust, is the most prestigious award honoring an outstanding female collegiate triathlete who excels in the triathlon racecourse and demonstrates exemplary academic and community service achievements.

Poe has won every collegiate race she has competed in against Division III competition and is a three-time College Triathlon Coaches Association All-American. Double majoring in sport management and ethical leadership, Poe is also a three-time Scholar All-American, touting a 3.937 GPA as well as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President, and a Leadership, Ethics, and Values Fellow, a program that develops skills to help students become leaders to make a difference in the world.

Additionally, Poe also competed in track and field as a distance runner. She earned Academic All-CCIW honors in 2023 while winning a team title at the Indoor CCIW Championship in 2022.

Poe, looking to four-peat as an Individual National Champion in her senior season, continues her season this Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Beaver County Tri Cup, hosted by Duquesne University. The event is set to start at 7:30 a.m. (ET). Click HERE for the full triathlon schedule.
