BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (Sept. 19, 2026) - At the 2026 Beaver County Tri Cup, the North Central College women's triathlon team powered to a sixth-place finish overall against NCAA competition while claiming the top spot among Division III programs, with Keeley Mick leading the Cardinals' charge.

Under cloudy skies and temperatures around 62 degrees, athletes took on the Brady's Run Park course, featuring a 750-meter swim, 11.8-mile bike and 3.1-mile run.

North Central finished sixth overall with 151 points. Drury University placed fifth with 130 points, while Lenoir-Rhyne University, Duquesne University and Navy rounded out the top three with 78, 64 and 60 points, respectively. North Central also recorded a perfect score in Division III against Trine University, placing its top five runners ahead of all five Trine competitors.

Mick finished 13th overall as the first Cardinal to cross the finish line with a posted time of 1:04:54.86. Mick recorded split times of 10:10 swim, 31:28 bike, and 21:03 run beating her swim and bike split times from Lake Mississinewa Collegiate Cup by two minutes each. 

Ava Talabock was the next Cardinal to finish 17th overall with a time of 1:05:30.76 coming in a minute after Mick. 

Emily Coonce rounded out North Central's top, three finishing 43rd overall, with a recorded time of 1:09:17.97. Following Coonce in 50th and 51st was Olivia Durbin and Jordan Haupt with Durbin posting a time of 1:11:10.36. Haupt finished five seconds later at 1:11:15.68. 

Coming in at 55th overall as the sixth North Central athlete, Sydney Sprayberry posted a time of 1:12:09.96, while Taylor Robinson finished soon after in 61st overall with a recorded time of 1:13:25.06.

Closing out the Cardinal roster, Norah Dorrance finished 64th overall in 1:14:48.16 and Lucy Oetker followed behind in 65th posting 1:14:54.96.

The Cardinals are back in action at the Prairie State Cup course on Oct. 3 in Clinton, Ill., where North Central saw a dominant win during the 2025 season.
