RIVER FOREST, Ill. (Nov. 11, 2025) - The North Central College women's basketball team secured its first road victory of the season with a standout team performance over Concordia University Chicago, led by a dominant night in the paint for Biz Daly.
Daly
opened the game with a quick layup off an assist from
Jocelyn Trotter, followed by a smooth hook shot to give the Cardinals an early 4-0 lead. Daly went on to score 13 of North Central's 14 first quarter points. With a strong full-court press,
Ameli Sanchez added defensive energy to the first quarter with two steals.
Concordia Chicago found momentum in the second quarter with a string of three-pointers to pull within three, but the Cardinals responded quickly.
Cate Uhren provided a spark with a layup to extend the lead, then buried back-to-back threes, followed by
Grace Kieffer to make it 25-16. Uhren continued her hot streak with an and-1 play to finish a strong offensive run.
After halftime, Kieffer ended a scoring drought with a three-pointer to push North Central's lead to 20.
Kennedy Hartwig contributed a deep three and a pair of free throws, while Daly added a reverse layup off a feed from Uhren to make it 48-23 midway through the third quarter.
The Cardinals extended to their largest lead of 32 points by the end of the third, making it 65-33.
Natalie Doyle came off the bench and immediately made an impact, draining a three-pointer off a Cougar turnover and adding two layups, plus a jumper in her offensive stretch. Despite a late energy shift in Concordia's favor, North Central pulled away with a 73-50 win.
Daly finished with 22 points, seven rebounds, three blocks, and two steals. Uhren added 14 points, Hartwig contributed eight, and Doyle chipped in 13. The Cardinals shot an impressive 8-for-14 from beyond the arc and scored 12 points off of Cougar turnovers tonight. North Central's depth was on full display, outscoring Concordia 38-5 in bench points while never surrendering a lead.
The Cardinals are back on the road Friday, Nov. 14, traveling to Appleton, Wisco. To face Lawrence University at 7:30 p.m. inside Alexander Gymnasium, for their first meeting between the two programs since 2007.
