KENOSHA, Wis. (Dec. 7, 2025) – The North Central College women's wrestling team claimed seven first-place finishes at the Carthage Classic on Sunday, Dec. 7, while all 16 Cardinals turned in top-five finishes inside Tarble Arena in Kenosha.

North Central earned 233 team points to win the invitational while the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point took second with 172 points. Fellow College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin member Elmhurst University finished third with 129 points while meet host, Carthage College, was fourth with 80.5 points.

After an opening round bye at 110 pounds, Eliana Paramo scored a pin over Haley Williams of the University of Rio Grande, needing just 2:11 to do so. She then followed it up with three straight technical falls. Paramo took down Lana Reeves of Midway with a 10-0 tech fall in the third round and another 10-0 showing over Veronica Cosio of Elmhurst in the championship bracket. Paramo met teammate Zurri Zamora in the first-place match, ultimately defeating Zamora in an 11-0 tech fall.

Bella Bolek quickly found her way atop the 117-pound bracket with four wins by technical fall. Bolek only allowed four points scored against her on the day, all of which came in her opening bout with CCIW foe Valentina Fontoni of Elmhurst. Nonetheless, Bolek still claimed the 14-4 tech fall before taking down her next three opponents in 10-0 tech falls.

Another exceptional day for Riley Rayome at 124 pounds featured a 5-0 record with three pins. Rayome used just 22 seconds to pin her first opponent of the day, Rosemary Triggs of UW-Stevens Point. She then pinned Catherine Head in 1:57 before winning her quarterfinal match against Alaina Hollendoner of Carthage by way of a 10-0 technical fall. Facing Aliana Rauter of UW-Oshkosh, Rayome collected her third pin of the day in 1:18. The first-place match pit Rayome against teammate Gracie Guarino with Rayome taking the 10-0 tech fall win.

Jax Realin produced a 5-0 day in the 131-weight class after facing teammate London Woods in the opening round. Realin defeated Woods in an 11-1 technical fall. Realin went on to pin her next two opponents, Kaitlynn Valencia of Joliet Junior College (1:04) and Alexis Hozeska of Carthage (1:24). In the semifinal, Realin won on a 10-0 technical fall over Cera Philson of UW-Stevens Point before meeting Woods yet again in the first-place match. Realin won with a 10-0 tech fall.

In the 138-pound bracket, Lynn Horn continued North Central's success with a 5-0 record on the day. Horn pinned UW-Stevens Point's Micahlee Skjerly in 56 seconds in her first bout of the day. She then took down Randi Cample of Eureka with a 10-0 technical fall, and followed it up with a 30 second pin over Annalis Ortez-Pierce of the University of Rio Grande. A 10-0 tech fall win against Margaret Zuber of UW-Stevens Point in the semifinal sent Horn to face teammate Taylor Miess in the first-place match where Horn secured the win with a 12-0 tech fall.

Elizabeth Rosenstiel opened her day at 160-pounds with a pin (1:04) against Lily Avalos of Elmhurst. Rosentiel's second match was also her closest, earning the narrow win by a 4-3 decision over Madiosn Farris of Eureka. From then, Rosenstiel never looked back, making quick work with an 11-0 technical fall over Josie Hosea (Carthage) and a 10-0 tech fall against Ella Harpold (Carthage). Despite having a close match with Farris earlier in the day, Rosenstiel put the exclamation point on the day with a swift 47 second pin over Farris in the first-place match.

In the 180-weight class, Jael Miller kicked off the day with a seven second pin over Natalie Gratschmayr (UW-Oshkosh). A trio of 10-0 technical fall wins sent Miller to the first-place match where she met Madalyn Sokolski of UW-Stevens Point for the second time. After a 10-0 tech fall against Sokolski in the the third round, Miller took it one step further with an 11-0 tech fall to win the 180-weight class.

Justine Perez (103), Zurri Zamora (110), Gracie Guarino (124), London Woods (131), Taylor Miess (138), and Natalie Klavetter (145) all posted runner-up finishes in their respective weight classes.

The Cardinals turn their attention to hosting the North Central College Invitational, Saturday, Dec. 14 inside the Wilde Res/Rec Center.
