Feb. 26, 2025 – Lindsey Novak and Gwen Berenyi earned the North Central College women's track and field team's sweep of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) student-athlete of the week awards for track and field events.

Hosting the annual F. Lee Slick Invitational, Novak led the 200-meter dash in a lightning-fast 24.91 seconds. In field events, Berenyi took a first place mark of 4.01 meters (13 feet, 1.75 inches) to move to second in the program's top just a half inch behind Rachel Secrest's 2010 record while marking her third in the national TFRRS list.

This week the team managed their highest placement of the season in the fifth ranking of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Indoor Top 25 with a selection of 21. They earned 36.03 points to rank just behind Widener University with 36.63 points and ahead of Carthage College with 35.59 points. In the Midwest region, North Central remained at sixth, ranking behind Loras College but ahead of Central College. The CCIW rankings saw the Cardinals remain second behind Elmhurst University while still outpacing Augustana College.
