KALAMAZOO, Mich. (Feb. 8, 2025) - Picking up their first win of the season, the North Central College men's tennis team won four of the six singles matches to claim a 5-2 victory over Kalamazoo College on Saturday inside Markin Tennis Center.

Henry Ros and Justin Penados earned the first doubles win for North Central at the No. 3 position before Ramon Vilarroig Martinez and Matthew Sengphommachanh batted to a 6-4 win over Cameron Crosby and Alex Fleming at the top spot to head into singles action on top, 1-0.

Ros and Sengphommachanh rolled to straight sets victories before Ignacio Hernandez Ruiz clinched the match with a hard-fought 3-6, 6-2, 10-6 win at No. 6 singles. Vilarroig Martinez batted to a 6-7 (7-9), 6-2, 7-5 win in the No. 1 fixture.

The Cardinals travel to DePauw University on Friday, Feb. 21 as the Cardinals look to beat the Tigers for the second straight season. That match will begin at 5:30 p.m. (ET) inside Depauw's Indoor Tennis and Track Center.
