Mar. 11, 2025 - For the second time in her career North Central College women's lacrosse midfielder
Abby MacKenzie has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin's Offensive Player of the Week for her performance in the Cardinals' 16-3 win over the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
MacKenzie scored six goals in Saturday's win over the Pointers, the fourth-most in the CCIW for a single game this season. She also racked up 11 draw controls and a team-high five ground balls on the day. She currently ranks second in the CCIW with 5.0 goals per game and first with 10.25 draw controls per game.
She is one of 15 Cardinals to earn a CCIW weekly honor, and the only current player to earn the accolade. In total, the women's lacrosse program has 39 conference weekly awards since 2012.
The Cardinals take on Lewis & Clark College Wednesday at 7 p.m. (PT), the first meeting between the programs. The game will be played at Griswold Stadium in Portland, Ore.
