Complete List of 2024-25 Fall NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships

Mar. 28, 2025 - Four-time USA Triathlon Division III National Champion and North Central College women's triathlon student-athlete Hailey Poe has been selected as an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipient. Poe is one of 42 fall sport student-athletes across all divisions to earn the award and the only women's triathlon student-athlete.

The NCAA's Postgraduate Scholarship program, instituted in 1964, promotes and encourages education by rewarding the Association's most accomplished student-athletes. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.2 grade-point average and be nominated by their institution's faculty athletics representative. The one-time, non-renewable scholarships of $10,000 are awarded three times a year, corresponding to each sport season (fall, winter, and spring). Each sports season, there are 21 scholarships available for men and 21 scholarships available for women for use in an accredited graduate program.

Poe, the 2024 USA Triathlon Alexander Award winner, claimed her fourth individual national title at the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championships in November with a season-best time of 1:05:03. The Bridgeville, Pa., native was also named North Central's College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference honoree.

Outside of women's triathlon, Poe serves as the president of North Central's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She is also part of the College Scholars Honors Program and served as a preceptor for a sport management class taught by Dr. Krystina Sarff. Poe has presented at the College's annual Rall Symposium with her "Social Media for Impactful Coaching" project during Honors Day. She will present her senior thesis research on student-athlete advocacy and social media at the North American Society for Sport Management Conference in San Diego.

Poe will graduate this May with degrees in sport management and ethical leadership. She is the second North Central women's triathlon student-athlete to receive an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. Naomi Hill earned the honor in 2021.
