Apr. 7, 2025 - Graduate student Tyler Donovan of the North Central College men's volleyball team has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Setter of the Week, the organization announced on Monday.
 
North Central defeated Augustana College 3-1 in Rock Island last Wednesday, Apr. 2. Donovan led the team with 41 assists and 13 digs. Donovan also recorded seven kills, three blocks, and one service.
 
On senior night, Saturday, Apr. 5, North Central hosted North Park University. The Cardinals swept the Vikings 3-0. Once again, Donovan led the team in assists (36) and digs (12).
 
The Lindenhurst, Ill., native has been a huge part of the Cardinal's success for the last five years. This is Donovan's 11th career CCIW Weekly Award. Donovan has recorded 2,336 assists in his career, ranking second for most career assists in program history. Donovan also ranked third in program history for digs (486), blocks (172), and service aces (67).
 
The Cardinals will face No. 13 Loras College in the CCIW Tournament at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Apr. 9, on Lillis Court in Dubuque, Iowa.
