2025 CSC Academic All-District Press Release

May 13, 2025 – For the third straight season, a member of the North Central College women's tennis team was recognized as a College Sports Communicator Academic All-District selection, as sophomore Kate Herlihy earned the award for her combined successes in the classroom and on the tennis court.

Nominated by members of CSC, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Athletically, nominees must be in the lineup for 70% or more of the total matches played that include team scores.

Herllihy finished the season with an 11-8 overall record and a 7-1 mark in College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin play. She is an environmental science and biology double major.

The Cardinals made their fifth straight NCAA Tournament appearance after winning the CCIW Championship for the fifth consecutive season. Overall, North Central went 15-10 on the year with a 7-1 mark in CCIW play.
