ITA Team All-Academic Award
July 15, 2026 - For the ninth straight season, the North Central College women's tennis team has earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team award. Individually,
Sophia Drozd,
Liveta Ezerskis,
Anais Gerard,
Kate Herlihy,
Abigail Penados and
Alexandra Zaskowski were named ITA Scholar Athletes.
The ITA All-Academic Team honor requires a cumulative team grade-point average of at least 3.20, with all varsity letter winners included in the calculation. A total of 177 NCAA Division III men's programs met the standard this year. The Cardinals have secured 11 academic team honors in program history.
To be recognized as an ITA Scholar Athlete, student-athletes must earn a varsity letter and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Ezerskis, Penados, Drozd, Exerskis and Gerard are multiple-time selections, with Zaskowski securing her first academic award from the ITA.
The 2026-27 women's tennis season opens Sept. 5 as the Cardinals kick off their season at Carroll University to begin College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin play, looking to defend their sixth straight league championship.
