D3baseball.com All-Region 8 Team
May 26, 2026 - Four North Central College baseball players have been selected to the D3baseball.com All-Region 8 Team following their successful season with the Cardinals.
Jackson Bland and
Payton Diaz earned First Team honors, with
Parker Wyatt and
Caleb Coberley receiving Second Team recognition.
Bland, now a two-time D3baseball.com All-Region selection, hit .357 with 55 hits, 48 runs, 43 RBIs, 11 doubles, eight home runs and seven triples while posting a team-leading 1.152 OPS. His 30 walks also led the Cardinals. His seven triples rank fifth in NCAA Division III. He reached base safely in 18 straight games this season.
Diaz solidified himself as one of the Cardinals' top pitchers with a team-high 42 strikeouts in 53 innings. He finished with a 4-4 record across 11 appearances. When not pitching, Diaz played first base and hit .361 with 13 doubles, three home runs and a .985 OPS to secure First Team honors.
Wyatt finished with a team-leading 59 hits, 17 doubles, 58 RBIs and 106 total bases while hitting .369 with 46 runs, 20 walks, eight home runs and three triples for a 1.112 OPS. He recorded a hit in 31 of 40 games and tallied a team-best 13 multi-RBI games. His 58 RBIs rank 41st in Division III.
Coberley led the Cardinals with a .401 batting average and recorded 21 multi-hit games. He posted a 1.039 OPS with 57 hits, 44 RBIs, 36 runs, 29 walks, eight doubles and four home runs.
The D3baseball.com All-America Teams are scheduled for release Thursday with all four Cardinals eligible for national recognition.
